Your Legacy Legal Care Website Redesign

As I began assisting Your Legacy Legal Care (formerly known as Hegwood Law Group) in improving their digital presence, I saw that their website needed to be updated and revamped. We had an opportunity to get it redesigned by an SEO vendor we had engaged with, and I took on a project management role to ensure the result was up to our standards.

Design

The original design of the website looked outdated and appealed more to an older audience. While a large portion of our clients were older adults and seniors, the firm had begun shifting to include young adults, new parents, and middle-aged adults in its target audience. The site was in need of a refresh to look more modern, but it still needed to be easy to navigate for the older audiences.

I worked closely with our vendor to choose the new layout and design of our website, including choosing new visuals that would focus more on the families and the challenges they face that lead to them acquiring our services.

  • A hero image that includes all target audience ages

  • A bold and eye-catching statistic showing results

  • Two linked lead magnets

  • A better-organized navigation bar that includes the client portal

Results

One direct result of the website redesign was that the site had an improved structure that would make it easier for crawlers to navigate. This, along with the increase in keywords, location pages, and links in the content, led to an improved SEO outcome. Overall, the site also saw longer session durations, a lower bounce rate, more inbound leads including contact requests, and a longer user journey.
